Maintenance Technician – Loretto Heights

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar's standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This onsite position supports resident satisfaction and prepares vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in routine safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to complete assigned work orders and perform preventative maintenance.
• Experience conducting make‑ready inspections and coordinating vendor services.
• Proficiency in tracking inventory and managing supplies.
• Attention to accurate documentation and paperwork.
• Willingness to follow safety policies and attend safety meetings.
