Maintenance Technician – Jasper

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and making repairs according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of general maintenance and repair experience.
• Work schedule Tuesday‑Sunday, 8 am‑5 pm, with on‑call availability evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb unaided (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where applicable.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair.
• EPA Type 1 certification.
• EPA Type 2 or Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
