Maintenance Technician

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Chattahoochee Technical College, is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of campus facilities and grounds. This role involves skilled and semi‑skilled work across a variety of building systems, ensuring a safe and functional environment for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform construction, painting, and general repair tasks on campus buildings.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical and plumbing systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and service vehicles and other motorized equipment.
• Maintain fire alarm, sprinkler, and security systems, and inspect automatic doors.
• Keep grounds clear of debris and trash.
• Coordinate maintenance and custodial staff as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a skilled trade or building maintenance.
• Ability to obtain a valid Georgia driver’s license for required vehicles.
