Maintenance Technician I – Indianapolis

About the role

3M Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join its manufacturing plant. You will work on a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment, ensuring reliable operation and continuous improvement of maintenance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, web handling systems and pumps.
• Implement and improve preventive maintenance procedures.
• Determine required parts, tools and supplies for maintenance jobs.
• Support management with analysis of maintenance spending and parts inventory.
• Maintain machine tools in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• Two‑year technical degree or diploma in a mechanical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three years experience installing, diagnosing and repairing high‑speed assembly or automated packaging machinery.
• Minimum three years experience diagnosing and repairing electrical power supplies, machine control devices, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
