Maintenance Technician – Hardware Village

About the role

This role provides technical and mechanical support to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas of the Hardware Village property meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, coordinating vendors, completing repairs and final inspections.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools, track usage and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Perform general grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs or signage.
• Inspect contractor work and conduct routine property inspections to identify safety or repair concerns.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to be on call as needed.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and any state‑required certifications.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of building systems.
• Make‑ready procedures for residential units.
• Basic plumbing and electrical repair skills.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including pressure washers.
