Maintenance Technician – Hammock Park

About the role

This position performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas at Hammock Park meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report accidents promptly.
• Inspect contractor work to verify quality and compliance with specifications.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule including on‑call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property, if needed.
