Maintenance Technician – Facilities & Equipment

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at Alfa Laval, you’ll play a key role in keeping facilities and equipment running safely and efficiently. The position involves operating heavy equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts and performing building, grounds, and machine maintenance across electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and machining disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting using diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and scissor lifts safely following lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, including CNC controllers and welding equipment.
• Provide materials and support to workstations, keep work areas organized, and ensure safety compliance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with relevant maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 75 lb occasionally and wear required PPE.
• Willingness to work overtime and up to 10 % local travel.
