Maintenance Technician – Edge at Brandon

About the role

The Maintenance Technician – Edge at Brandon is responsible for preserving the safety, appearance, and functionality of the property’s buildings, grounds, and common areas. This full-time position supports resident satisfaction through timely repairs and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make-ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch-list creation, vendor coordination, repairs, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re-order needs.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, trash removal, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Inspect contractor and vendor work to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Participate in routine property inspections, reporting safety concerns and recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Adherence to Greystar’s safety and risk-management policies, including OSHA training and prompt incident reporting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• EPA Type I certification for refrigerant handling.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
