Maintenance Technician – Cherry Hill, NJ

About the role

This position performs technical and mechanical work to ensure that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and overall functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report accidents promptly.
• Inspect work performed by contractors and vendors to verify compliance with quality standards.

Required profile

• EPA certifications Type 1 and Type II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications required by state and local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license (required to operate a golf cart where applicable).
