Maintenance Technician – Avana Lexington

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Avana Lexington community in Nashville. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical or technical issues in residential properties.
• Experience with make‑ready inspections and coordinating vendor services.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and documentation.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑functioning environment.
