Maintenance Supervisor - Murrieta, CA

About the role

This role oversees and performs technical and mechanical work to ensure that the interior and exterior of the community, its grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, breezeways, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager on budgeting and ordering.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance and lead safety meetings, keeping MSDS sheets current and adhering to OSHA regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; 3+ years of maintenance supervision experience, preferably in a lease‑up environment.
• Proficiency with property management software and strong customer‑service skills.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to operate a golf cart on the property if needed.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and Type II (or Universal) HVAC certification.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
• Knowledge of property management software platforms.
• Understanding of MSDS documentation and OSHA safety requirements.
