Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

This Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role for our Maintenance Department. The position supervises hourly employees in mechanical and electrical trades to keep equipment and facilities in good working condition, maximize equipment up‑time, and meet preventive maintenance schedules and organizational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on training and develop a formal training program for skilled trade employees.
• Reduce equipment downtime and repair costs by directing skilled trades, maintenance supervision, and engineering.
• Initiate projects that lower downtime, scrap, and associated costs.
• Serve as the bridge between the Engineering Department and the maintenance organization.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to administer Union contract provisions, maximizing productivity while minimizing production disruptions.
• Obtain a tow motor license and successfully complete LOTO and confined space training.

Required profile

• High School Diploma required; BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• At least 2 years of successful maintenance leadership experience in an industrial environment, preferably in a foundry or machine shop.
• Strong work ethic, outgoing and assertive personality, and excellent team‑building skills.
• Professional PC literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience working in an ISO environment is a plus.
