Maintenance Supervisor for Community Property

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the community’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position works a standard Mon‑Fri 8 am‑5 pm schedule with on‑call duties as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs in compliance with safety codes and company policies.
• Oversee the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, order supplies within budget, and complete monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist the Community Manager with budgeting for repairs, capital projects and cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience; 3‑5 years of property or building maintenance experience.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• Strong logical problem‑solving skills and proficiency in customer service communication.
• Basic computer literacy with experience in property management software preferred.

Required skills

• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification (preferred).
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal HVAC certification for refrigerant handling.
• Hands‑on expertise with hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
