Maintenance Supervisor – Cherry Hill, NJ

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor leads and executes technical, mechanical, and maintenance operations for the community, ensuring interior and exterior areas—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common spaces—are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Oversee the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, conducting pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting completed work.
• Develop and maintain standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, interiors, signage, parking lots, and other common areas.
• Inspect work performed by service team members and contractors to verify quality, scope, and compliance, and implement corrective action plans as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ordering materials within budgetary guidelines.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in company policies.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, keep MSDS sheets current, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Provide responsive customer service to residents, addressing complaints and assigning work orders with urgency.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to interact respectfully with residents and team members.
• Proven ability to manage inventory, schedule vendors, and control maintenance costs.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and experience conducting safety meetings.
• Capability to inspect work, assess quality, and develop corrective action plans.
