Maintenance Supervisor – $2,000 Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

This position oversees and performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the interior and exterior of the community, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests, diagnose issues and perform repairs according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Develop and maintain standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ordering as needed within budget guidelines.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance tasks and assist in budgeting for repairs, capital projects and expense‑control initiatives.
• Conduct safety meetings, keep MSDS sheets current and stay up‑to‑date on OSHA and other safety regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience and training.
• Experience in property‑management maintenance, building maintenance or a related trade.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with residents, team members and management.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheet and database programs; property‑management system experience preferred.

Required skills

• EPA Type I certification (or Type II/Universal) for HVAC work.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
