Maintenance Mechanic III – Food Manufacturing (Electrical & PLC)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic III to join our food manufacturing plant. The role involves hands‑on electrical, PLC, and mechanical work across all shifts, ensuring reliable operation of critical processing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (480 V, 240 V, 120 V) and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Repair mechanical components on conveyors, augers, mixers, pumps, and drive systems.
• Maintain fillers, cappers, cookers, coolers, and other processing equipment.
• Execute welding, torch cutting, and plasma cutting tasks; fabricate and pipe‑fit as needed.
• Service refrigeration units, boilers, and water softeners.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and plant procedures.
• Operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment to support plant flow.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 + years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Strong background in AC/DC electrical systems (480 V required).
• Proven experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Welding certification or demonstrable welding experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lb regularly and work any shift.
