LPN or Medical Assistant – Urgent Care

About the role

Join the dynamic Urgent Care team at Kingman Regional Medical Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant. You will provide direct patient care, assist providers, and help ensure a safe and comfortable experience for every visitor. This full‑time, 12‑hour shift position offers a supportive environment in beautiful northwest Arizona.

Key responsibilities

• Triages patients by phone or in person, implements physician orders, and maintains clinical communication.
• Performs CLIA‑waived laboratory tests, obtains specimens, runs proficiency testing, and may conduct venipuncture.
• Assists providers with patient examinations, records vital signs, and prepares exam rooms.
• Escorts patients, documents histories, and supports procedural coordination.
• Cross‑trains in data entry, balances accounts, charges fees, and collects payments as needed.

Required profile

• Current, valid Arizona LPN license (or compact state LPN/LVN) or high school diploma/equivalent for MA candidates.
• American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or possession of a recognized MA certification (e.g., CCMA, AAMA).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand/walk 90 % of the shift, and tolerate exposure to blood and body fluids.

Required skills
