LPN / Medical Department Supervisor (YCA Ft. Gordon)

About the role

The Youth Challenge Academy at Fort Gordon seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to supervise its Medical Department. Reporting to the Campus Director and Deputy Director, you will ensure the health and well‑being of cadets participating in a 22‑week residential program that combines academic, vocational and life‑skills training.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and document medication and treatments for cadets, maintaining secure storage of all pharmaceuticals.
• Coordinate with physicians, mental‑health professionals and dental staff to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records in the department database.
• Communicate cadet health status and any concerns to Campus leadership and relevant staff.
• Train and orient new medical staff and provide ongoing in‑service training on clinic procedures.

Required profile

• Current LPN licensure in the state of Georgia.
• Experience working in a clinical or residential setting with adolescents.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information.
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
