Logistics Planner

About the role

Join DHL Supply Chain as a Logistics Planner and play a vital part in keeping the supply chain moving smoothly. You will coordinate inbound and outbound freight, ensuring that customer orders and inventory reach their destinations without delay.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure effective coordination of inbound and outbound freight movements, including shuttle services for customer orders and inventory.
• Build and validate daily load plans, considering cost and service, using EFMS, Topex, TMS or Red PrairieRoute.
• Dispatch daily load tenders to carriers via EDI (204), fax or TMS and coordinate carrier pickup times.
• Manage appointment acquisition to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Communicate regularly with internal DHL teams and external carriers to align expectations.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities to enhance financial performance and service levels.
• Monitor compliance issues and participate in metric feedback processes.
• Support yard and shuttle service supervision as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 0‑3 years of experience in logistics or transportation.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EFMS, Topex, TMS or Red PrairieRoute systems.
• Familiarity with EDI 204 load tender processes.
