Logistics Operations Graduate Role – Tracy, CA

About the role

Join Applied Materials' logistics operations team as a new college graduate. You will support day‑to‑day logistics and distribution activities in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with a 3PL partner and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily logistics and distribution operations, working closely with the 3PL team to resolve issues and escalations.
• Monitor and analyze operational metrics such as productivity, backlog, cycle time, inventory accuracy, quality, and on‑time shipment performance.
• Use tools like Excel, Celonis, SAP and other data sources to identify trends and highlight areas for action.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and KPIs that provide visibility into warehouse performance.
• Partner with the 3PL to identify productivity and process improvement opportunities and track their implementation.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on recurring issues using methods such as Pareto analysis, 5 Whys and process mapping.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Operations Management or a related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Full‑time new college graduate willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Relocation eligible.

Required skills

• SAP / ERP knowledge.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Celonis.
• Lean problem‑solving techniques.
• AI / Copilot skills and data analytics/statistics.
