Logistics Coordinator (Hammond)

About the role

Intralox, a division of Laitram, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support internal and external customers, vendors, and governmental agencies. The role ensures smooth logistics operations and compliance for both domestic and international shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Select and manage the most effective logistics providers for scheduled shipments.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Communicate shipment status to Customer Service and customers.
• Track and trace international and domestic shipments, resolving audit or inquiry delays.
• Enter shipment data into carrier systems and confirm carrier assignments.
• Perform end‑of‑day system closeouts and package/transport goods to workstations.
• Weigh, label, and record order information in the computer system.
• Safely operate woodworking tools, lift equipment, and strapping devices.
• Work overtime, flexible schedules, and weekends as required.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in logistics, preferably with international shipments.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
