Lockout/Tagout & Electrical Safety Trainer

About the role

FRAME Technical Services, LLC is seeking experienced instructors to teach Hanford Site Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Electrical Safety courses. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented, able to work both on a team and independently in a fast-paced environment. The typical schedule is 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver LOTO training so workers know how to control the unexpected release of hazardous energy or materials.
• Conduct student evaluations to assess knowledge.
• Deliver training on using and controlling electrical energy, understanding electrical hazards and implementing hazard controls.
• Review and help develop or revise course materials.
• Be able to deliver training as needed, including on short notice.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license.
• At least 2 years of experience with LOTO regulations (NFPA 70E).
• At least 18 months of experience teaching LOTO courses at a government-owned facility such as the DOD, DOE or another highly regulated environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in large groups at all levels of the organization.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NFPA 70E LOTO regulations.
• Experience teaching LOTO courses.
• Desired: current or former Washington State electrical license, and prior experience as an electrical engineer, electrical inspector or journeyman electrician.
• Desired: basic use of audio/visual equipment.
