Loan Operations Analyst – New York

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious Tier 1 investment bank as part of a fast‑paced Loan Operations team in New York. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across the loan lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational processes for the full syndicated loan lifecycle, including origination, funding, servicing, and settlement.
• Review and interpret credit agreements to ensure accurate execution of loan operations.
• Coordinate with syndicate members, borrowers, and internal teams to manage loan events such as amendments, refinancings, paydowns, restructurings, and transfers.
• Perform quality control and reconciliation of loan transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Track and monitor financial covenants, ensuring compliance and timely reporting of breaches.
• Manage collateral requirements, including tracking, verification, and documentation to meet loan terms.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 3‑7 years of relevant financial experience, preferably in commercial loan servicing or middle‑office operations.
• Strong understanding of syndicated loan lifecycle and loan documentation (LMA/LSTA, credit agreements, funding memos).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Loan IQ.
• Advanced Excel skills.
