Litigation Paralegal

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Paralegal who works under the direction of a Project Supervisor. The role supports attorneys in discovery and in preparing motions, briefs and other legal documents, and is an hourly, overtime-eligible position under the Service Contract Act.

Key responsibilities

• Review documents to extract data and information related to specific items.
• Compile relevant material from computer data banks.
• Summarize findings and highlight notable documents for further review.
• Attend regular meetings with attorneys and management to discuss findings and the scope of discovery.
• Review documents for privilege according to established guidelines.

Required profile

• MRPT facility credentials/authorization, which requires US citizenship at this work location.
• Paralegal certificate, JD, or enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience very helpful.
• Bilingual or multilingual; Spanish, Chinese or Russian preferred.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under extreme pressure.

Required skills

• Basic legal knowledge, including standard legal citation and legal research with LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Document review and file management systems, spreadsheets, imaging and hardware systems.
• Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures.
