Litigation & Operations Counsel

About the role

Public Storage is seeking a highly motivated Litigation & Operations Counsel to join its legal team. This attorney will manage the company’s litigation portfolio and provide strategic legal advice to field operations and other business functions across a broad range of compliance, regulatory, and risk matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and oversee all company litigation, including strategy development, budgeting, and supervision of outside counsel.
• Represent Public Storage in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution forums.
• Analyze litigation trends and outcomes to inform future risk management strategies.
• Consult with business units on compliance, risk mitigation, customer issue resolution, and government inquiries.
• Manage legal operations, reporting, and budget matters.

Required profile

• Strong academic credentials with 3‑5 years of relevant private practice and/or in‑house experience.
• Business‑minded attorney with strong negotiation abilities and efficient multi‑tasking skills.
• Proven people and project management capabilities.
• Proactive mindset, self‑starter attitude, and willingness to learn new legal areas.
