About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse II provides advanced paraprofessional patient care within the Texas A&M University College of Nursing Mobile Clinic. Working under general supervision, the LVN supports Nurse Practitioners and delivers essential health services to schools and homes across East Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Measure vital signs, assess patient conditions, and document care in the electronic medical record system.
• Assist providers during exams, procedures, injections, and medication dispensing.
• Maintain drug and vaccine logs, monitor expiration dates, and manage clinic inventory.
• Drive a university vehicle to provide mobile clinic services at schools and patient homes.
• Handle administrative tasks such as travel logs, insurance documentation, lab request processing, and supply ordering.
• Serve as a liaison with external medical providers and coordinate patient referrals.
• Provide guidance and training to Medical Assistants and other support staff.

Required profile

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification.
• Experience delivering patient care in a mobile or school‑based clinic setting.
• Ability to operate a university vehicle safely and maintain travel records.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and administrative management.
