Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – OB/GYN – St. Mary

About the role

Provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, for assigned OB/GYN patients under the direction of a registered nurse. Collaborates with ancillary nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized, high-quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to gather data, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Deliver comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure a positive experience.
• Adapt quickly to changing unit demands and maintain flexibility throughout the shift.
• Maintain professional development, clinical knowledge, and required credentials.
• Stay informed of federal, state, and local regulations and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with sound judgment.
• Strong interpersonal and delegation skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• IV therapy competency (preferred).
