Legislative Intern – Georgia Judicial Council (AOC)

About the role

The Judicial Council/Administrative Office of the Courts (JC/AOC) is offering a Legislative Intern position for the 2027 Georgia General Assembly session (January‑April 2027). The intern will support the Office of Governmental Affairs & Trial Court Liaison by monitoring and tracking legislation affecting Georgia’s judicial branch.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and take notes at committee meetings and legislative sessions, providing concise summary reports.
• Generate bill summary reports and assist in tracking relevant legislation.
• Support the Office of Governmental Affairs & Trial Court Liaison with research and documentation.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Currently a junior, senior, graduate, or law student (recent graduates also eligible).
• Available to work up to 28 hours per week between January and April, with flexible start times.
• Ability to work both onsite and remotely with minimal supervision.
• Strong writing, research, and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Georgia state government and legislative processes.
