Leasing Professional – The Octagon

About the role

The Octagon community is seeking a motivated Leasing Professional to drive occupancy, revenue, and resident satisfaction. You will be the primary point of contact for prospective and current residents, guiding them through the leasing process and ensuring a seamless move‑in experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, and showcase apartment features.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, and prepare lease agreements.
• Inspect units before move‑in to confirm readiness and coordinate any necessary maintenance.
• Manage resident move‑in paperwork, keys, and orientation.
• Maintain accurate leasing records and update resident information in the property management system.
• Support lease renewals by engaging current residents and presenting renewal options.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet occupancy targets.
• Professional appearance and a positive, team‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with leasing activities, including tours, applications, and lease preparation.
• Knowledge of credit screening and background check procedures.
