Leasing Professional – The Charles

About the role

The Leasing Professional will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal activities for The Charles community to meet occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals. This role involves guiding prospects through the leasing process, ensuring resident satisfaction, and managing lease renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, schedule maintenance, and ensure units are ready for residents.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral programs and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record activity, and manage resident data.
• Maintain show units and common areas to Greystar standards, coordinating with maintenance staff.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to drive leasing and renewals.
• Prepare and deliver lease renewal letters, meet with renewing residents, and ensure timely signing of renewal documents.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and any state‑required leasing licenses or certifications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to respond to resident inquiries promptly.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
• Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
• Experience using internet marketing tools such as Craigslist, Facebook, and email campaigns.
