Leasing Professional – Discovery Community

About the role

The Leasing Professional will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal activities for the Discovery community in Kingwood, Texas, driving occupancy, revenue, and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, process applications, and manage lease sign‑ups.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate any maintenance needed, and ensure apartments are ready.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including online listings and referral programs.
• Use property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, traffic, and resident data.
• Maintain show units and common areas to company standards and prepare the leasing office for daily activity.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to secure leases and renewals.
• Prepare renewal packages, contact renewing residents, and ensure timely execution of lease extensions.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner concerns, escalating issues as needed.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a golf cart on the property.
• All state and local licenses or certifications required for leasing professionals.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including on‑call duties.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
• Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
