Leadership Giving Associate

About the role

The University of Miami School of Law seeks a full‑time Leadership Giving Associate to advance its donor‑centered leadership giving program. Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, the associate will cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, law firms, and friends giving between $1,000 and $99,999.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of leadership‑giving prospects, developing individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies.
• Identify and qualify new prospects, moving them through the giving pipeline toward major and principal gifts.
• Design and implement multi‑channel fundraising campaigns and collaborate on donor‑facing materials.
• Partner with faculty and academic leaders to translate funding priorities into compelling cases for support.
• Monitor performance metrics, maintain accurate CRM records, and report on fundraising results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 1 year of fundraising experience; 4 years preferred.
• Working knowledge of the legal profession and alumni engagement.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging attorneys, alumni, and high‑capacity donors.
• Analytical, data‑driven mindset with ability to meet activity metrics and revenue goals.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems and dashboards to track prospect engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for crafting donor proposals and stewardship materials.
