Lead Principal Cloud Architect – Client‑Facing CTO Advisor

About the role

Capgemini is looking for a senior, client‑facing Lead Principal Cloud Architect to join the team onsite in Irvine, CA. You will act as a trusted CTO‑style advisor, shaping enterprise cloud, application, security and infrastructure strategies across multi‑cloud and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define target‑state architecture for GCP, Azure, AWS, on‑premises and edge scenarios.
• Produce standards, roadmaps, landing‑zone patterns, migration paths and modernization approaches.
• Provide senior technology advisory to client stakeholders, translating business priorities into architectural decisions.
• Identify and shape opportunities for application modernization, cyber/security architecture, cloud governance, automation, FinOps and observability.
• Lead workshops, white‑boarding sessions and real‑time decision making with client leadership.
• Offer visible senior leadership during major incidents, root‑cause analysis and technology evaluations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive client‑facing experience.
• Proven ability to design and govern enterprise‑scale cloud and hybrid solutions.
• Strong communication skills to influence C‑level executives.
• Experience translating business, security and operational priorities into actionable roadmaps.
