Lead Graphic Designer

About the role

Ello is seeking a Lead Graphic Designer to shape the visual experience of its children’s education app. You will own the end‑to‑end design process, from research and prototyping to final handoff, ensuring the product is engaging, educational, and conversion‑focused.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design across product, brand, and user experience, including research, playtesting, iteration, and developer handoff.
• Conduct brand and user research to define personas and guide design decisions.
• Develop and maintain a cohesive brand identity and design system through market research, concept creation, and testing.
• Design and optimise web interfaces and onboarding flows using UI/UX principles.
• Create and animate brand characters and UI assets to boost engagement.
• Support marketing and internal initiatives with landing pages, printed materials, and cross‑functional design guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent) in Graphic Design, HCI, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Graphic Designer, Web Designer, UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, Illustrator, Animator, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to work with literacy experts and engineering teams.
