Lead DevOps Engineer (GovCloud)

About the role

BMC Helix is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the delivery and operation of its IT Operations Management (ITOM) SaaS suite across a global, multi‑cloud environment. The role focuses on high‑impact deployments, upgrades, and automation initiatives, especially within AWS GovCloud (IL4 and IL5) regions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly deployments and upgrades of the ITOM SaaS suite across 20+ global data centers, including AWS GovCloud.
• Oversee semi‑annual upgrades of core services such as Victoria Metrics, OpenSearch, Redis, and Kafka on AWS, Oracle Cloud, and Google Cloud.
• Migrate customers between ITOM instances, apply hot‑fixes, implement change requests, and resolve service tickets.
• Remediate monitoring alerts, drive automation projects, and establish repeatable, scalable processes.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, MCSE, VCP, etc.).
