Lead Data Engineer – St Louis, MO

About the role

Infosys' Data and Analytics (DNA) unit is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join its St Louis team. In this role you will drive the design, development and delivery of data‑centric solutions that enable clients to turn raw data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements and contribute to the elicitation process.
• Lead design discussions, capture architectural decisions and guide the technical team.
• Develop, test and integrate new features while ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories and maintain high‑quality code.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyse results and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks for new applications.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents and propose preventive measures.
• Maintain comprehensive records of code changes, testing approaches and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative mindset with excellent communication abilities.
• Proven experience handling end‑to‑end software development lifecycle phases from requirement gathering to implementation.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform.
• Big Data technologies and analytics packages.
