Laboratory Assistant – Full‑Time

About the role

Elemental Enzymes seeks a Laboratory Assistant to support the site Operations team in maintaining a safe, efficient, and ready‑to‑use laboratory environment. The role provides hands‑on assistance for daily lab activities, inventory management, and equipment readiness to enable scientific research.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare reagents, growth media, and media plates using aseptic techniques.
• Fulfill laboratory requests promptly, following research priorities.
• Operate autoclave for sterilizing labware, waste, and media.
• Maintain, calibrate, and validate laboratory instruments as assigned.
• Wash, sterilize, organize, and store glassware and reusable materials.
• Monitor and replenish consumables, track inventory levels, and receive incoming supplies.
• Support equipment moves, troubleshooting, documentation, and routine cleaning.
• Conduct chemical audits, waste handling, labeling, and safety inspections of eyewash stations, showers, and signage.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in a scientific field preferred.
• Previous hands‑on laboratory, research, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow written procedures.
• Capability to work independently after training and collaborate with scientists and operations staff.
