Lab Tutor – Air Conditioning Technology

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Lab Tutor to support the Air Conditioning Technology program at Chattahoochee Technical College. Working under the Associate Dean of Transportation, Logistics and Building Services and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies, you will help students succeed in both classroom and laboratory environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist students with course assignments and laboratory exercises in air‑conditioning technology.
• Set up, maintain, and break down lab equipment according to safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with lab safety requirements and report any issues.
• Provide guidance on electrical circuits, refrigeration principles, and HVAC equipment usage.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Technical College System of Georgia.

Required profile

• Completion of AIRC 1060 with a grade of B or higher, or equivalent industry training (AUTT 1060).
• Knowledge of electrical circuits, refrigeration principles, and HVAC equipment.
• Preference for a diploma in a related field and two years of HVAC industry experience.
• Ability to work on a per‑term basis under supervision.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $15.00, up to 22 hours per week during the semester.
