The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Kids First Clinic Director in Fort Smith. This senior clinical position oversees the delivery of pediatric health services, ensuring high‑quality patient care, operational efficiency, and alignment with UAMS’s mission of improving the health of Arkansans.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and day‑to‑day management of the Kids First Clinic.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulations, and UAMS policies.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and professional development of clinical and support staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient flow and care pathways.
• Manage clinic budgets, resources, and performance metrics.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and community outreach programs.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a health‑related field (e.g., MD, DO, DNP, MPH) or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership or administration, preferably in pediatrics.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision‑making abilities.
