Kids Accessories Designer

About the role

The Kids Accessories Designer will create and develop seasonal accessories for boys and girls, translating trend research into on‑trend bags, duffels, hats, belts and more. Based in our New York office, the role works closely with product, sourcing and overseas factories to bring designs from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct seasonal trend, colour and material research focused on the children’s market.
• Design and develop accessories such as bags, duffels, handbags, hats, belts and related items from concept through production.
• Create detailed sketches, CAD drawings and tech packs/spec sheets.
• Communicate daily with overseas factories to support development, troubleshoot issues and ensure design intent.
• Collaborate with production, sourcing and cross‑functional teams to meet timelines and cost targets.
• Develop prints, graphics and surface embellishments where applicable.
• Manage multiple categories and seasonal timelines while meeting tight deadlines.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and consumer insights for the junior market.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Fashion Design, Accessories Design or related field (preferred).
• 4‑6 years of experience designing kids’ accessories.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Proactive, positive attitude with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop (Adobe Creative Suite).
• Ability to create digital sketches quickly and clearly.
• Experience with CAD software for accessory design.
• Experience communicating with overseas factories.
