Junior Technical Writer, Composites

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Junior Technical Writer to produce clear, concise documentation for its autonomous surface vessels. You will translate complex engineering concepts into user‑friendly guides that help operators understand and safely run the vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to gather technical information.
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and internal guides for autonomous vessels.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for end‑users.
• Ensure all documents comply with industry standards and relevant DoD regulations.
• Review and edit documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
• Work closely with production teams to stay aligned with project timelines.
• Continuously update documentation based on user and stakeholder feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a technical writer in a technology‑driven or defense environment.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with noise, dust, and temperature variations while following safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D illustration tools such as CreoIllustrate.
• Familiarity with referencing design engineering drawings and the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Knowledge of DoD documentation standards and regulations.
• Technical writing expertise.
