Junior Software Developer – Cloud & Web Applications

About the role

CGI is looking for an enthusiastic junior software developer to join an Agile team that builds modern, cloud-native web applications for a large government agency. The role is based in Fairfax, VA, with a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of cloud-native applications using Angular and Java/Spring Boot.
• Write clean, well-structured code and participate in code reviews.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and work with microservice communication patterns.
• Deploy applications on AWS using containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Author automated unit, integration and end-to-end tests for both front-end and back-end.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate with clients and end-users to provide technical insight.
