Junior Financial Analyst - Funds Management

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our Funds Management and Origination team. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, you will support the analysis and underwriting of new Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) investments, working in a fast‑paced environment alongside internal teams such as investor relations, tax, and asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for new investment opportunities.
• Support originators with application letters and early placement communications.
• Update models with actual results, equity timing changes, and lease‑up progress.
• Assist senior analysts with deal closing, quarterly reporting updates, and other ad‑hoc analyses.
• Stay current on affordable‑housing and real‑estate finance developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 0‑12 months of internship or entry‑level experience in finance, preferably real‑estate or affordable‑housing.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Financial modeling capability.
• Cash‑flow and cash‑waterfall modeling.
• IRR and capital‑structure analysis.
