Junior Buyer

About the role

American Trim is seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to support the timely acquisition of raw materials. You will help ensure that high‑quality components are purchased at competitive prices to meet manufacturing needs.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase raw material at the lowest possible price while maintaining quality standards.
• Issue purchase orders and coordinate deliveries, considering supplier lead times and optimal order quantities.
• Communicate daily with suppliers and contract carriers to manage delivery schedules.
• Maintain and develop relationships with manufacturing personnel to resolve delivery, quality, and price issues.
• Drive KPIs such as cost improvement, inventory reduction, quality improvement, payment term enhancements, and supplier consolidation.
• Become a subject‑matter expert for assigned commodities.

Required profile

• Legally authorized to work in the United States on an unrestricted basis (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple supplier relationships.
• Willingness to develop expertise in commodity purchasing.
