About the role
Infosys is seeking a Java Developer to join its Engineering unit in Austin, TX. The role focuses on building and enhancing backend services using modern Java frameworks, contributing to data‑first product delivery and AI‑enabled solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct interviews and workshops to capture user requirements and document stakeholder needs.
- Participate in design discussions, create process documentation, and translate specifications into code.
- Develop, refine, and document Java applications following detailed design specifications.
- Execute test plans, analyze results, report defects, and support software performance improvements.
- Integrate new features into existing systems and ensure smooth transitions.
- Monitor live applications, troubleshoot issues, and produce maintenance documentation.
- Maintain a knowledge repository by documenting coding practices and technical solutions.
