Janitor

About the role

The Janitor at Northwest is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment across the Administration Center. This full‑time position involves daily custodial tasks, inventory management, and equipment upkeep while supporting the organization’s mission and values.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize floors, carpets, windows, and all surfaces according to schedule.
• Operate and load dishwashers, hand‑wash dishes, and restock kitchen supplies.
• Maintain restroom hygiene, refill dispensers, and report any facility defects.
• Manage cleaning supply inventory, prepare requisitions, and report shortages.
• Record work hours accurately and keep custodial equipment in good working order.
• Follow safety and compliance guidelines, including federal and state regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow detailed cleaning instructions.
• Reliability in reporting shortages and maintaining accurate work logs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software for inventory and reporting.
• Experience operating standard custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and dishwashers.
