About the role
The University of South Carolina Athletics Department seeks a full‑time IT Support Technician to deliver reliable technical assistance across the campus. You will act as the first point of contact for users, ensuring swift resolution of IT issues and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of technical support services for staff, faculty, and athletes.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems efficiently.
- Minimize downtime by promptly addressing incidents and service requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and resolutions.
- Stay current with security requirements and emerging technology trends.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology systems or a related field with at least one year of relevant experience, OR a high school diploma with five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially when explaining technical concepts.
Required skills
- Knowledge of various information systems.
- Understanding of security best practices and trends.
