IT Site Infrastructure Manager

About the role

Alcon is seeking an IT Site Infrastructure Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery and lifecycle management of all IT infrastructure services for its Manufacturing & Technical Operations site in Johns Creek, GA. The role supports manufacturing, distribution, R&D and administration functions and ensures a stable, high‑availability environment for a 24/7 production facility.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee integration and delivery of data‑center, network, firewall, compute, backup, capacity, vulnerability, cybersecurity, PC lifecycle and print services.
• Maintain maximum uptime for a highly automated, high‑volume manufacturing site operating 24x7x365.
• Act as escalation point for incidents and problems unresolved by first‑line support and provide on‑call support.
• Collaborate with global IT and business stakeholders to capture infrastructure requirements, propose solutions and align with IT standards.
• Partner with the site IT Head on budgeting, planning and business request fulfillment.
• Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships and mentor third‑party deskside support teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex IT infrastructure in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
• Strong escalation handling and customer‑service orientation.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively across global and local teams.
