IT Finance Business Analyst

About the role

The IT Finance Business Analyst will support 3M's IT Business Management framework by aligning financial planning with technology delivery. This position bridges finance and IT, helping stakeholders understand the cost implications of projects and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and long‑range financial plans in partnership with the IT Business Management Leader.
• Monitor and analyze IT operating and capital expenditures, performing variance analysis for hardware, software, personnel, and third‑party services.
• Support cost‑allocation models across IT departments and prepare regular financial reports for IT leadership and Corporate Finance.
• Assist with vendor invoice processing, contract analysis, and compliance with procurement policies.
• Contribute to business case development for new IT initiatives and provide financial modeling and scenario analysis for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years of finance or accounting experience, preferably within an IT or technology environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel.
• Experience using SAP or Oracle Financials.
