Investor Relations Manager

About the role

3M is seeking a Manager, Investor Relations to join its global finance team. In this role you will support the investment community, shape the company’s messaging, and collaborate with senior leaders across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the investor relations outreach strategy, preparing briefing materials, investment thesis analysis, and financial estimates.
• Maintain relationships with key shareholders, prospective investors, and sell‑side analysts; track feedback, sentiment, and ownership changes.
• Coordinate IR events, roadshows, earnings calls, and conference schedules, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
• Analyze sell‑side consensus, company performance, valuation metrics, and macro‑economic trends; produce competitive benchmarking and peer analysis.
• Support the quarterly earnings process, including preparation of earnings decks, Q&A documents, and post‑earnings investor feedback.
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Accounting, Communications, Legal, and business leaders to align financial messaging with strategic priorities.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize financial data and market trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing investor materials and presenting to senior leadership.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating complex events.
